Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes. There's no charge and no sign-up. There's only a per-minute download limit to stop automated bots.
Do I need to install a program or app?
No. Everything works in your phone or computer browser.
Which formats and qualities can I download?
MP4 video in 1080p, 720p, 480p and 360p, or audio only as MP3. The highest quality depends on how the video was uploaded to YouTube.
How do I download just the music or audio?
Pick MP3 before tapping Download. The file will contain only the audio, which is ideal for music and podcasts.
Can I download YouTube Shorts?
Yes. Copy the Short's link (youtube.com/shorts/...) and paste it in the field, just like a regular video.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. Use Safari. When you tap Download, the file goes to the Files app, in the Downloads folder.
Where is the video saved on Android?
In your device's Downloads folder. You can also find it through the Files app or your gallery, depending on the model.
The video opened in the browser instead of downloading. What do I do?
Tap the three dots on the player and choose Download, or long-press the green button and select Download link.
Why can't a video be downloaded?
Private, age-restricted and members-only videos, as well as live streams in progress, can't be downloaded.
Do you keep the videos or my data?
No. Videos aren't stored here and we keep no history of what you download. Your IP address is used briefly, only to apply the download limit.
